Julio Gil
CEO
Julio Gil, “El Jefe” is the founder and driving force behind Central Coast Sign & Design, leading the team in sales, customer service, and company culture — and making sure the essentials like coffee and good energy never run out. His passion for design began at Hartnell College and CSUMB, eventually inspiring him to launch Gil Design Company in 2001, which grew into today’s thriving CCSD. Outside of work, Julio enjoys cooking, hiking, golfing, and cheering on his daughters, Paola and Ximena, alongside his high school sweetheart and wife, Marisela. His favorite local escape? A perfect day hiking the trails at Point Lobos National Park.
Laura Santana
Creative + Lead
With over 20 years at the company, Laura has grown through roles in production, customer service, and design before stepping into her current leadership role overseeing overall operations. She earned her B.A. in Social and Behavioral Studies with a Minor in Nonprofit Management from California State University, Monterey Bay. Outside of work, Laura loves reading, hiking, and spending time with her husband and two daughters — whether it’s for a walk at a farmer's market, exploring San Francisco, visiting Disneyland or enjoying their favorite local spots.
Mark Lim
Design Ninja
Mark Lim “Graphic Design Ninja 🥷” has been part of the CCSD team since 2023, specializing in transforming ideas into polished, brand-focused designs that make an impact. A self-taught designer since high school, Mark built his skills through hands-on experience in printing, brand development, and creative direction — mastering layout, color management, and production precision along the way. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and child, catching movies, exploring local food spots, and collaborating on creative side projects. A true caffeine-seeking ninja at heart, Mark is always on the hunt for hidden coffee gems and mom-and-pop cafés that spark inspiration.
Berenice Jaramillo
Customer Service
Berenice Jaramillo is a Sales Representative and Project Manager at CCSD, having joined the team in 2014. She specializes in creating estimates and assigning new projects to the design team, helping bring clients’ ideas to life. Originally from Southern California, Berenice earned her Sociology degree with an emphasis in Criminology from Cal State Northridge. After a brief career in the court system, she moved north and found her calling at CCSD — drawn to the company’s commitment to supporting local businesses and community growth. Outside of work, she enjoys building miniature book nooks, journaling, gardening, and hiking. Her favorite local escape? A peaceful hike through Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park, followed by a well-earned bowl of ramen.
Miguel Aceves
Production Lead
Miguel Aceves – Production Lead
Miguel Aceves has been part of the CCSD team for 2 years. As our production lead, he quickly demonstrated his leadership skills and eagerness to learn new machinery and techniques. Miguel keeps the team organized and ensures that every project meets the highest standards.
Adrian Loza
Production
Adrian has been part of the CCSD team for 2 years, specializing in the preparation and installation of projects, including vehicle and mural graphics. With a background in Graphic Design and experience in printing and material installation, Adrian enjoys learning from his coworkers. Outside of work, his family is his top priority, and his favorite place to relax is Pebble Beach.
Adrian ha sido parte del equipo de CCSD por 2 años, especializándose en la preparación e instalación de trabajos, incluyendo rotulación de vehículos y murales. Con formación en Diseño Gráfico y experiencia en impresión e instalación de materiales, Adrian disfruta aprender de sus compañeros de trabajo. Gaby Tena
Designer
Gaby has been part of the CCSD team for over a year, bringing fresh creative energy and a passion for design that connects ideas with visual impact. She collaborates closely with clients to bring their vision to life, crafting designs that align with their goals while ensuring every file is production-ready for print. A graduate of CSUMB with a bachelor’s in Communication Design and a minor in Business Marketing, Gaby honed her skills as a Digital Content Specialist for Associated Students, where she designed marketing materials that promoted student engagement and campus community. Outside of work, Gaby loves spending time with friends, thrifting for hidden treasures, and visiting the local farmers market on Saturdays—her favorite spot for discovering unique finds and supporting local businesses.
Corina Perez
Administrative Assistant
Corina Perez joined CCSD in 2023 as an Administrative Assistant, supporting sales, customer service, printing, and scheduling to keep the office running smoothly. A CSUMB graduate with a degree in Visual and Public Arts, Corina has over five years of experience in print and design. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her significant other and their cat, Mochi 🐱. Her favorite local spot? Sushi at Kokoro.
Carlos Herrera
Production
Carlos Herrera, our newest team member, has been with CCSD for less than a year. With his experience in vehicle graphics and sign installation, he is quickly becoming an integral part of the team.
